| 1994 Toyota Tercel Review, Gt7941a Add a review!

| | Model of the car: | Tercel | | | General comments: | Reliable, basic transportation...for local. This car was my vehicle for about 5
years...it is small, easy to park, and gets great gas mileage (35+). The bad news
is that you can't drive on the highway above 55 or even merge safely, the engine is
so weak. Every time I drove 60+ the engine would complain vehemently, the car would shake,
and so I had to puttputt along in the slow lane. It also had no handling skills, even
after I changed tires. This is coming from someone who drives a pickup truck--I'm not looking
for a Diablo, but an automobile should stay on the curves at 20 mph! The car NEEDS antilock brakes badly.
I suppose for what I paid it is an okay deal, but I would recommend to anyone looking at used ones now--buy a
Civic or Integra instead--they are more powerful by a landslide. The seats in the
basic 1994 Tercel do also NOT fold down and it has a miniscule trunk, so forget about
carrying anything. The A | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | power, power, power...it's not even offered as
an option. You can't even merge on the freeway
