| | Model of the car: | Toyota Tercel | | | General comments: | I love this car! I have owned it for over 8 years with only a couple of problems - which were covered under the warranty. Toyota even replaced my rings, seals, valves and gaskets under warranty well AFTER my warranty expired since the nasty oil problem started during the warranty period. My Tercel has 180 000 kms on her and she still runs and looks like a brand new car - not a speck of rust! It's been driven all through the United States, to and from California three times and across Canada (Ontario to BC and back)once with no trouble, minimal service and amazing gas mileage. Too bad 1999 was the last model year because I would buy another Tercel after I pass this one on to my daughter in a couple of years. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Drives and performs as well as you can expect a small car to - until you get over 200 pounds in the back seat - then it turns into a slug. | | | Previous car: | 1978 Corolla - the body quit before the engine did otherwise I'd probably still have it.
