Tercel EZ Hatchback
| | Model of the car: | Tercel EZ Hatchback | | | General comments: | It lacks power and but for $7800 which was the dealer sticker price when I bought it, it is a super great deal. If you are a penny pincher and need cheap and highly realiable ride, the Tercel fits the bill. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | I am 6 foot tall and I get really cramped up after about 2 hours in the thing. It is a noisy and very busy ride. It hydro-planes in very heavy rain at 55mph unless you have fresh rubber on the pavement, or the car is loaded down with 3 people. DON'T put your friends in the back for a long ride, they might not be your friends after the ride. I don't know why Toyota bothered putting a rear seat in. I wish the gas tank held more than 11 gals of gas. I could use the fuel weight to asist in preventing rear hydro-planeing. The speakers dry rotted at 50,000. The radio needless to say died shortly afterwards. It does not matter, a boombox does the trick. The car is great, just keep clean oil in it and burn 93 octane and it will keep runnng, and running, running.... My bother has 275,000 on his Toyota cheese box. | | | Previous car: | Its better than a the old VW, it has real heat and cooling. |
