Toyota Tercel
| | Model of the car: | Toyota Tercel | | | General comments: | I absolutely adore my Tercel. I bought her in August 1989, and she recently turned over 200,000 miles..this time next week, the odometer will read 201,000. I am still driving with the original clutch, although from time to time I must add a little bit of clutch fluid to the reservoir. Aside from the usual routine maintenance...replace batteries, tires, oil, mufflers, etc., my biggest expenses have been one brake job, the replacement of the power steering rack about four years ago, the replacement of an engine seal, the replacement of the driver's side window (I was the victim of one of those infamous smash and grab robberies in South Florida), and replacement of my trunk lock after someone broke into the trunk. There is no rust on my car, although the paint has faded quite a bit. This car has been through "thick and thin" with me, and I intend to keep her until she takes her last breath. If Toyota were still manufacturing Tercels, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Had to repplace the muffler three timesI wouldn't buy a black, vinyl interior again because of the heat factor | | | Previous car: | None |
