Tercel
| | Model of the car: | Tercel | | | General comments: | I bought this car primarily for winter driving and the occasional off-road experience. This was the best $500 Canadian I ever spent. I bought the car two years ago and the odometer on the car just passed 300,000kms this month and it runs beautifully. Since I bought this car I have put about $200 excluding gas and insurance (which don’t cost much in this car) into the car. About one hundred dollars was from me ripping off the muffler a few times while off-roading, the car just wouldn’t quit going. There are only two problems I found with the car. It is in serious need of power steering for city driving. The body has a tendency to rust in certain areas. As a preference I would much rather have a manual transmission for a fun drive. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone looking into buying their first car. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Rust, needs power steering, sometimes passing on the highway is a bad idea. | | | Previous car: | Toyota Corolla, much faster but more expensive. |
